Hi All,

I have sent my application on 25th June.

I have applied in FSW Category.

When I can expect the File#. I am not able to see any status.

Hi Meena, if i remember correctly, you sent your application last week.

step 1 - confirm with your courier company when your documents were delivered to CIC, NS.
step 2 - wait for at least 4 weeks before thinking of a reply.
step 3 - check the e-mail provided on a daily basis. These day, they send e-mails rather than paper confirmation.
step 4 - check trackitt.com to understand the average processing time for CIC-NS

Yes I sent my application on 25th June but that has not been received by them yet. I checked status on Fedex.

In the mean time I am collecting my Reference Letters. Lets c how it works.

From my experiece I can say they will issue an acknowledgement within 2 weeks after receiving it and you will get it in hand withing one month after posting. My time line was,

Mailing through DHL------ 27 January 2009
Received in Canada (sydney)-- 4, February 2009.
Issued date of letter----------- 17 February 2009
In my hand------------------- 30 February 2009

After getting it in your hand you will find a file no. and then you will be able to see your status from website.

Have you IELTS Score? If No, DO IT WITHING A SHORT TIME AND START TO ARRANGE ALL DOCUMENTS. SINCE THE SYSTEM IS SO FASTER, YOU CAN PREPARE YOURSELF. IF YOU ARE ELLIGIBLE FOR YOURSELF, DON'T AGREE ABOUT THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER.

I am in New Delhi. Which institute should I go for. Also what is the minimum duration of this course.

You do not have to send any other documents to CIO. Just forms and Fee. You can attach a letter explaining your duties in detail

Hi,

No Documents required at this stgae. You only need to fill your forms, (Applicant, Spouse, Children), Passport Photo Copy of Applicant, Your Mailing address on two Sheets.
