Hi

I applied for immigration in 1998 and got rejection in 2001. Unfortunately I lost all the experience letters and the diploma I earned as a computer programmar. I don't really remember the exact dates but can provide some guesses while making my new application now as I have got a very handsome offer from a Canadian Employer. Questions is:

1) Is it OK to ask CIC for a copy of my documents quoting the previous reference number?
2) If not is it OK to provide only rough guess about my diploma and work experience dates only?
3) Will they accept and not really strict about the lost off previous documents?

Kindly advise.

They won't ask for the reference letters from that application (only past 10 years are necessary), but I guess you lost your diploma.

I think you can request for the documents related for your application here: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

Or contact your school and ask if they can provide a copy of a diploma or proof of graduation.

1. It is extremely unlikely that any documents exist on the file after 16 years.
