Dear All,

I'm aware that Alberta Provincial nominee program is temporarily on hold till the end of January. I don't find any application guide or eligibility criteria for the program in their website.

Do anyone have the link for the said program?

I have a 2nd cousin living in Alberta, so I was wondering it would give me more points. Moreover, I need to prepare my documents to apply once it is open in Jan 2016.

Please help guys...

This website here should help you
Notably, I suggest the Employer Driven Stream and Strategic Recruitment Stream pages.
My question to you, however, is what stream do you wish to apply to APNP under?

What I understand from :
http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/immigrating/ainp-eds-employer-driven-stream.aspx
and
http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/immigrating/ainp-srs-strategic-recruitment-stream.aspx

is that -
you either need a specific job offer with LMIA
OR
you need canadian education/experience

to apply for AINP.

Is that right?

Can a person with No Canadian education, no Canadian experience apply under AINP?

---

I am from Oil & Gas (Mechanical) background, so Alberta is my first preferred province.
I would also like to know more about possible AINP application scenarios.

Thanks,

bhushan

There are three routes to apply under AINP:

The first category:
Candidates (foreign workers) with a permanent, full-time job offer from an Alberta Employer who intend to live and work in Alberta permanently.
You qualify for this if you have a permanent, full-time job offer from their Alberta Employer in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, B); if you recently graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution and have a permanent, full-time job offer from their Alberta Employer in a NOCkill-level 0, A, B or C occupation; and finally, if you have a permanent, full-time job offer from an Alberta Employer in a semi-skilled occupation (NOC C or D) that is eligible under the AINP.

The second category is if you a valid trade certificate in a Compulsory or Optional Trade in Alberta issued or recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT), or have credentials as an engineer, designer or drafter and Alberta work experience.

Finally, if you can demonstrate you a self employed farmer (I assume this one does not apply to you).

To answer your question, no, based on what we have, it does not seem like it is possible to apply under AINP if you do not have either employment or an offer of employment from an Alberta company, under specifically recognized categories.

I hope that helped.

Thank you very much for the clarification..

You made it crystal clear... I understand that I am not eligible since I neither have a employment offer or Canadian experience.

Thanks again..
