Application forwarded to Ankara - Why?

CIC sent an email with the following message, not sure what it means for our application.

This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your
relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office in Ankara for further processing.

I am sponsoring my Iranian wife, and Ankara (Turkey) is probably the closest office to Iran.

We passed our medical test about a month ago, and are still waiting for our police clearance from Iran to pass that step.

We started May 18, 2017.

Any idea what this means for our application and timelines?

There is also a section on the forum for spouses waiting for sponsorship of a spouse in Iran. Yes the application is processed in Turkey because it is the closest centre.
