Application for open work permit

Hi,

I need help please. I have a TRV for 10 years already. However I want to apply for a Study Permit and my wife for a open work permit. She does not have a TRV yet and wants to apply. Now shes the spouse applicant but in our application package I do not have to apply for a TRV.

Will this be a problem?

She needs a TRV to enter Canada unless she is from a visa-exempt country regardless of any permits she might have.

Yes, she is the main applicant as she is the only applicant.
