Hi
I recently got a Toronto Transit Commision fine (really minor thing) which I apologized for and paid in full.
When writing me the ticket, the TTC officer was telling me that he can charge me criminally and that will affect my status in Canada, but then in the end told me not to worry about it, it is just a TTC ticket, not a criminal offense, and it will have no effect whatsoever. He was even smiling - probably just wanted to scare me so that I don't do it again.
Now I am confused, I was told many times that such an offense is similar to a parking ticket and will have no effect on my status. Just wanted to confirm.
Thank you!!!
Best regards,
