Dear All,
I had applied for canadian immigration, but regarding payment of fees of Canadian $550, i chosed the option of payment through Credit card instead of Bank draft.
But i have come to my knowledge just last week that Online payment more than US$500 is not allowed in one time regardless of the credit limit available.
My fee of CAD$550 exceeds the US$500 and i have learnt from CREDIT CARD BANK that they received ONE REQUEST ON 13-8-2010, and TWO requests on 17-8-2010 from Immigration Canada, which were DENIED because of in excess of US$500 limit.

Can anyone guide me how i can contact with the Immigration Canada officials regarding the payment of fees.
I don't have any acknowledgment from Immigration Canada officials yet.

I have applied from Pakistan and i am using Askari Bank MasterCard.
I sent my application to CIO at Sydney Canada in April 2010 and haven't received any acknowledgement yet.

Please guide me how to contact immigration authorities in Canada.

I would be the most inexperienced person on how to contact CHC,

As far my knowledge goes, it would not be possible to send them an updated CC number or DD unless u send them the entire application again. But for the you would fall under the post-June 26 rules.

Now, what I can say is this: Tell the credit card company that you are expecting this transaction worth CAD550 and informing them in written would be best. Second, as u stated they may object. Therefore talk to senior person, manager etc. Now to be sure, deposit the equivalent of CAD550 in your CC account, whatever the amount be 28,000 or so. If for any reason CIC doesn't charge your card, you can use this money later on. So you are just blocking the funds. This is based on the assumption that the limit of US500 is not a foreign exchange regulation in Pakistan but a bank specific rule. So if its a bank specific rule then it will be to reduce risk for the bank. But if you deposit the amount proactively, then the bank should not have any problem.

Of course, take this advice with a pinch of salt and let seniors in this forum advice you

You should also look at contacting your bank to see if they can temporarily increase your credit card limit and, if yes, the manner prescribed. That is more likely to get you somewhere then trying to contact CIC; and especially when you do not have a File Reference No. allocated

Expect a rejection of your application in the coming weeks, due to the payment not gone through.

Make a fresh application and this time make sure everything is in order.
