Hi all,
I found a web page at Canadian Embassy in Buffalo where it says that we can pay the application fee in US dollar by, among others acceptable form, cashier's check. I'm about to send my application to Buffalo (rec'd my AINP approval in June) and just want to confirm if this is still acceptable form of payment because the page dated somewhere in 2008 if I'm not mistaken. Thx!

a week ago detroit office asked me to pay $CAN 490 or $ US 415 so it might be correct...don't take my word 4 it!
what i did is to get a certified check of $ US 415 since the letter asking me to pay said so.

hi bobine,
thx for responding.

btw, i thought you have to submit the application to buffalo, who if needed will transfer your application to different office. is that what happen with you? and also, don't you have to sent the application fee along with your application? didn't you do that and that's why they returning your file and asking for payment?

Can you please help me for a query.
I am applying for PR under the category of Nova Scotia Provinvial nominee.
As per the CIC website Right of Permanent Residence Fee (me and spouse 490 CAD total of 980 CAD).
Family Class Principal applicant 550 CAD and spouse over 24 years 550 CAD total of 1100 CAD.
So both of them totalling to 2080 CAD.
But on one of the forums I read that someone is saying that only 550 CAD for the principal applicant and 550 CAD for the spouse.
Could you please clarify this for me.

Thank you.
Ravi

i am not sure what u want but here is what u need 2 know:

** it's step-by-step meaning when u apply they need $CAN 550 2process ur application
and if everything goes right they will ask 4 medical ( 4 medicals u'll pay some fees too all depending on the doctor of ur erea) ....so in ur case it will b $CAD 550 X 2 = $CAD 1100

**after that they will ask 4 visa fees ( RPPF) $CAD 490.............. 490X2= $CAD 980
u have 2know that u can decide 2pay that amount (980) while doing ur medicals 2avoid delay and if it happens that the visa will not be issued, they will return u back that money OR wait till they ask 4it (what i did in my case!)

so to sum up, u'll have 2spend till this is done :

( $CAD 550 X 2 ) + ( $CAD 490 X 2 ) + Medicals 4 both of u = $CAD 2080 + Medicals 4both of u
