Application Delivered by FedEx - How long before CIC contacts us?

I cannot believe it! To my surprise, our application arrived in Mississauga this morning. I dropped it off at FedEx last night (we are in NJ). It was shipped FedEx International Priority.

How long before I am officially notified by the CIC an in the system and can check the status online?

I am so excited and happy!!! ;D

30-45 days or less providing all is good.

I didn't realize it would be that long before they log us in (30-45 days).
My FBI clearance will expire in a couple of weeks.
Will this be an issue and disqualify us?

Nah, I don't think it will. If I can recall properly I believe it's valid for 6 months to a year or they just need a copy of the report in file.

it is valid 3 months
i need to find the link again
it was hard to find the reference but it stated so on the immigration website, not in the application instructions
keeping my fingers crossed!!

Congrats!

I think they put you in the system online after the sponsor gets approved.

and I think your FBI clearance should be fine, it just says to mail it in before the 3 months is up.

it was tough to say goodbye to it last night....i checked it over so many times...just couldn't look at it anymore.
