Dear Friends,

I have sent my documents to an immigration agency in Canada and i paid the government fee in order to move to Canada as Immigrant under the skilled workers progam. However, i waited for a long time before my lawyer told me that he submitted my file and i should expect a letter from immigration office that proves that they recieved my file.
Please tell me how long it takes to get this letter and in case i moved to a different adress, is there any other way to know that they have recieved my file?
I would also love know some information about this immigration category.
Thank you

Oh boy....my favourite topic! If you provide some details as to the NOC code you applied under, the date you applied, your VO, etc, you will get all sorts of help from the forum members. It is great that you are not leaving it all up to your consultant. Go to the official sites. Read them, learn them, live them! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG72.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf

If you use a consultant all information will go to him and from him to you. If at any time you do not wish to use a consultant you can use the release form in the package (the same one you would have signed to allow him/her to act on your behalf).

There is an active thread (Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE...) that you can join. All sorts of good information flowing there every minute! If you applied after 26 June 2010, you will find the information in the tracker very useful to determine timelines. Good Luck with your journey!
