Application approved without Medical

Hi All,

I applied for an extension of visitor visa for my parents. We received an online update within the CIC portal that they need a medical test last week. So i scheduled a medical test. Today we received an online update that the application is now closed and they have sent a letter confirming the extension status.

Now should we still go for the medical exam, even though the application is classified as approved with a closed status?

Yes, because the extension will have a T&C on that your parents must have a medical within 30 days.
