Hello Friends,

Need some help.

I am a Canadian PR and recently applied for my wifer PR status. Fortunately, all the documents have been good and our file was accepted. I recently received an pre-arrival letter services email from New Delhi VO and expecting a Passport request anytime soon (fingers crossed).

However, my wife is already in Canada as a visitor. I tried to reach out to CIC here through phone and filled up web forms to explain the situation but no success.

We want to avoid an unnecessary trip back to Inia for Passport submission and COPR process from India.

Anyone who has been through the similar situation or have some knowledge, please guide me the process so that we can get the passport stamped as well her landing formalities done here in Canada.

Thanks,

Chetan Arora

Thanks but what is the process? Do I just post her passport to Ottawa or do I need to inform them the situation beforehand?

The checklist will tell you what documents to submit. Most people here do it without a lawyer.

You don’t need a Lawyer probably an Immigration specialist. If you are applying her PR in Canada then she is eligible for open work permit too.

You can email me contact number at chetanarora85@gmail.com and we can take it from there.
Before taking up random "assistance" offers where you will be asked to pay for support, make sure you verify:

1. That the person is a properly certified immigration consultant. Without that, you have no real recourse in case something goes wrong.

2. Look for reviews or client testimonials.

3. Ask the prices of what the person will charge you for assistance and what you will actually get. You do not need to spend thousands to work through the document checklist. Honestly, reading the forums here will give you all the answers you need.

4. If your case is complex and complicated, a lawyer may well be better than an "immigration specialist," which is a term that concerns me because it isn't immigration consultant, which is a regulated term. Specialist means nothing - and it may be an unlicensed, uncertified person offering services.

For @Chetanarora85 , don't be that uncool person who spams threads here on this forum offering services. This website is offered as a public service by a law firm - think about what you're doing! And if you are ICCRC certified, say it up front and include a link to your professional website or other ways of verifying who you are. Don't just spam.

I provide the services as Part time work for me. In the past two years, I have handled many cases and successfully helped them.

Not sure, what do you mean by uncool person here? Anyway, you can contact me if you want otherwise all the best with your application.

Have a nice day.

Thanks

In your first post on this thread, you asked for assistance. When you quoted mine, you are offering services. Is this entire thread a spam advertisement? Do you need help with something or did you create this thread as a commercial?

Are you ICCRC certified? If not, you're offering questionably legal services.

As the Government of Canada says:

Find out if your representative is authorized
You can check if a person is licensed to represent immigrants or to give advice.

If they are not members in good standing, you should not use their services.
