hello Everyone,

I am from the dominican republic and my husband just got the SA email, but they said they sent my application to mexico because of my home address, im just checking all the document that i sent, and it specifically says Dominican Republic.

could they possible made a mistake writting the letter or might be that they actually send it there?

has anyone had the same situation?? what can i do??

@nreilly
Have you tried to call CIC re: this issue? There is a women who has a similar situation as you on the Facebook group for Dominicano Spouses. She was recently approved for sponsorship and her application was sent to Mexico as well. She was told that there was a backlog of applications in Santo Domingo and Mexico would process her application. Try calling and see if you get the same response.

CIC have always had the ability to ignore the requested visa office for processing. They now no longer offer that option on the recent IMM0008 forms. In other words, you no longer get to choose...
