My husband is a SINP applicant.
Should APEGS evaluation be based on Bachelors or Masters or both Bachelors and Masters? Can he provide his Masters courses too.
He has Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Masters in Computer Science and his NOC code is 21231 (software engineer with 12 years of experience)
When filling self assessment form, he is not sure which Engineering stream to select, if he just uses his Bachelors courses, the closest one he finds is Electrical Engineering, whereas if he includes both his Bachelors and Masters courses, then Software Engineering courses can be satisfied.
Not sure which Engineering stream needs to be selected here, in the self assessment form it says you can include Masters course if needed but also says the degree will not be eligible to use for waiving confirmatory exams.
Would choosing Electrical Engineering and not including Masters course lead to SINP rejection since his NOC is 21231 (Software Engineer)
For 21231 - Software Engineer, it doesn't mention anything specific to education as opposed to 21231- Software designers where it specifically mentions about course, "you must have completed a minimum three-year program in computer science, information technology, computer science systems, or a related discipline in integrated multimedia or computing science."
Has someone come across this same situation? Which Engineering stream did you end up choosing?
Also would like to know if APEGS denies application when selecting Software Engineering based on Masters, can we apply again to APEGS as Electrical Engineering with Bachelors. Has anyone reapplied to APEGS?
