sorry people is it the email you receive from CIC stating that your application to sponsor a member of the family class has been received by CIC on behalf of ......on a particular date . So my question is ..when is AOR ?is it the date stated in the email.

Yes, the e-mail is you received informing you that IRCC/CIC has received your sponsorship application is the AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt). It is sent to the sponsor.
