AOR for Oct 2014 applications

My CEC application reached Sydney office on Oct 2nd 2014 as per the mail tracker.
when can I expect the AOR?
How do I know whether CIO actually got my docs and if they are fine with it or they require something more?

You should wait between 6 weeks to 8 weeks before you receive your AOR! That is when you know they have received your package and there was nothing wrong with it.
Depending on the documents missing or wrong, either they will send back the whole package or they will ask for the documents, via email and/or mail.

It's too early to get worried mate. I'm sure your package is complete and you'll receive your AOR in a month or so.

Just stay patient, you'll get there eventually.

6-8 weeks? That was the case awhile ago, at the moment August applicants are waiting over 12 weeks.

I believe the CEC category will be closed after Dec 2014. please correct me if I am wrong.
suppose in Jan 2015 I get a notice saying some docs are missing or they send me the application back due to missing information. Will my application still be processed after that, under this category?
just want to understand all the scenarios. Thanks in advance.

CEC won't be closed. Applicant selection process will be changed (Express Entry) but most of the existing programs will stay under Express Entry umbrella.

But in my case it wont be express entry since I have already submitted the application. is that right?

I talk to cic customer service today and he told me that application recieved by Cic before 31 Dec will fall under CEC or any other categary they sent for e.g fsw or pnp. So its very clear and i hape it helps.

As per CIC site
"Total applications received towards the overall cap: 3,586 / 8,000"

Current CEC cap status , Which means application received is 3586 aka 3586 AOR has been issued.

But in my case it wont be express entry since I have already submitted the application. is that right?

Hi,
If at all they send the application back due to some missing documents then I guess we need to apply freshly then we will come into Express entry.
