AOR delays

I am very concerned. I used an immigration agency to apply for our citizenship application called CPNIS led by Dr Alemi.

They say they sent our application end of August 2020. It is now April 2021 and they cannot provide me any AOR. Is this normal?

I do not know which office they sent it to but they only say that they sent it and to expect any kind of respond in 12 months. Is this really the case? IRCC website right now on April 2021 is sending AOR letters for applications sent on January 2021. This tells me that applications are moving. Dr Alemi’s archaic old thinking of slow bureaucratic applications within IRCC cannot still be the case on this day and age. Is this still correct?

Or am I bamboozled and should inform authorities?

We are a family of 3 that landed on Winnipeg on March 2017.

Any reply would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Mervs

First you should check ECAS system using your Client number written on your PR card. See if you get nay status.
If there is no information then call IRCC to check if they have received your application by providing them your Client ID from PR Card. If they said they received it then it is just getting delayed. If not then your application hasn't been delivered to them.

Thank you for the response. I am very grateful.
But is this normal though? 8 months of no AOR with no response and allegedly no return of application?

I have tried contacting using 18882422100 and it is not giving me an option to speak to an agent. I just want to know whether our package has been received. If they are neglecting it for eight months so be it but at least let me know. ECAS is showing nothing for all three PR card number.
If the IRCC website is announcing AOR being sent to January 2021 received applications. What happened to ours that was sent on August 2020?

Just wondering, did you apply through paper? That's pretty absurd since I received my AOR the same day I sent my application.

It was sent via mail. So I was told. We used an agency to apply for us and supposedly it was sent last August 2020. Since then I have been asking for an AOR but their head honcho just keeps repeating no confirmation number is provided and we’ll have to wait a year for an exam invite. I find this very strange. How else one can track an application if there is no confirmation number or how would you know they received it if they will not even acknowledge that it has been received. That’s essentially what an AOR. And for IRCC not to respond or provide anything or even return something for the past eight months makes all the agency services very shoddy and questionable at best. I am this close to reporting them to authorities!

Hmmmm okay. So there's a slim chance you can find out if your papers were received. Try linking your application to your account. There's a tool below your application. It will help you search their system and see if your application is received. I've used it before and it's a bit finicky so you might have to do a few searches. After you're successful, you'd be able to see and track the status online.
