Looking for some advise on our situation -
AOR - August 2019 [3 years ago!!]
Re-Medical passed- July 11, 2022

Since, our application went in a blackhole, we chose to take opportunities as they came, our daughter got accepted in one of the colleges in Toronto and we applied for her Student visa and our Visitor visa in June (her course starts early September). After that there has been movement in our "long forgotten by IRCC "application, we were asked for additional documents & remedicals... we are hoping to receive Passport request soon.

1. Assuming that PPR and subsequently CoPR is issued before our visitor visa / student visa and we accompany our daughter in September and make a POE in Ontario, do we have to wait for PR card issue? (4 months timeline currently) or can we return after giving local address of a friend so they courier PR card or send it along with someone travelling to our country- is that permissable?

2. Ours being Alberta nomination, are we expected to visit province after POE at Toronto (our daughters college city)

3. If we choose not to make a PoE now can our daughter travel to join her college or is Primary Applicant (her father) expected to land with her.

thoughts/ advice will be much appreciated. Thank you

1. You do not have to wait for the PR card to be issued. You can return home. Since you will be receiving PR thorugh Alberta, the address for the mailing of your PR card that you provide must be an address in Alberta. It's possible the fact your daugher will be attending school in Ontario could raise some concerns that you don't plan to settle in Alberta. You should consider how you will address these concerns if they are raised by the officer.
2. You should ideally have an onward flight to this province that you the officer doesn't have concerns that you plan to live elsewhere.
3. Your daughter cannot land and become a PR on her own. Your husband must either travel with her or before her.
