Hi, yeah I'm gonna apply from withing Canada in the next days, you as well? I called CIC and they said you have to send your application via mail to the canadian embassy which is responsible for your country.. anything you wanna know?

Just wanna follow up with people that did the process already.. to get some extra information that I might be forgetting !!

I will apply, but online.. as I am eligible and I heard the processing time is faster!!

I will change status from worker to student, and apply along for my wife of her OWP..

does anyone know if I need to provide home ties for my wife?? I am applying for my student visa from within canada (changing from worker to student) and along, sowp for my wife..

Again, she is here on a visitor visa.. actually, she has this visa since 2007.. just renewing it over the years!! Never overstayed..

No, she is here on a visitor visa..
with her status to expire in october!!

as I said, she came to canada several times (more than 10 time actually), never overstayed.. that is why I am not sure if she has to prove ties to home country, as I believe she has a good travel record..
