I applied from abu dhabi on 5 march till now status is open...when my application ll in process...and how we can calculate the processing time, after changing the status "in process" or "open"...who applied from abu dhabi plz reply me soon...

I applied 23 Feb and upto now no updates, still open. Next update will be either approve or rejected. If you are currently residing in UAE since no medical is required. I suggest you wait 4-6 wks as per processing time indicated. check :http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/uae-eau/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?lang=eng

Means we r in same boat means direct cic ll approve or refuse....bcoz last time wn i gave biometrics next day status changed from "open" to "in process" now this time still the status is open dats y m worried dat how n wn we ll calculate the processing time....anyways m lil cool down dat some is also waiting like me m living in bahrain not in uae...

Can u tell me abt ur biometrics, what is the status shows abt biometrics? I gave biometrics but status shows we dont need at this time...in the beginning it shows biometrics required wn i gave then it shows now we dont need at this time...y its like this?

Hello. I was not required for biometrics. I got approved after more than 1 month. Yours maybe longer but don't worry, you'll get one soon.

i applied on 31 dec 2014 got passport req on 25 march nd got visa approved on say 3april....anyone else who's visa has been approved from UAE?

WOW!! 3 months to get the visa approved?? I am planning on applying from Kuwait through VFS next week. So I should be hoping for the visa to be granted by June?

don't worry i got my visa late bcz my first offer letter was been expired nd i submitted my second offer letter for may session very late that's why it took 3 months..

I applied on 23 Feb as well, havent got any update yet ..... ideally they shouldnt take more than 8 weeks as mentioned on their website

Yes, you can show funds in India as part of your proof of funds. I've just applied from VFS Kuwait. Let's hope the study permit is approved!

I applied Feb 23 and got my visa Mar 25, it was fast because I was not required to get biometrics.
