I followed the instructions to a "t", but when we got to the closest Visa Application Centre, a 3-hour bus ride away, one of the agents said we also needed to include our marriage books. The guidebooks published by CIC, and by the Visa Office in Beijing, say nothing about marriage books, only marriage certificates.
Has anyone else had this happen -- totally unexpected requests for more documents -- not mentioned in the guidebooks? If so, any idea why CIC would not see fit to mention marriage books in the document checklist?
This process is proving more bizarre than I expected.
