Anyone send passport to Los Angeles Visa office?

Hello fellow members,

I'm wondering if any of you had their application transferred from Buffalo to Los Angeles and where Los Angeles visa office requested for passport?

Did you include I-94 card? Is it possible to just send notarized copy of I-94 card for security purposes incase passport get lost during transit? I think it would be easier to request for new copy of passport than getting copy of I-94 card from USCIS.
