I am from a small province and hopefully these agencies do help international students to find jobs after graduation. The free ones supported by government are good and if they charge fees that really does not matter if they literally help students to find jobs.

Thanks

That is illegal and I wouldn't trust a company that does that.

by charging fee i am guessing OP is referring to job agencies charging commission in job search which I dont think is illegal unless u provide a link. Normally agancies charge employer to provide talent but some do charge candidates. however it should be after the job has been offered and normally is part of first month salary .....u should not pay an agency before u get the job. U should find agents or recruiting agencies they may help u.

If an employer hires an agent (or recruiter) the employer pays the agent/recruiter.

Agents/recruiters who charge employees to find them a job, is illegal.

Edited to add:

The closest I can get to official is Globe and Mail article mentioning it.
