Anyone in INDIA applied for CANADIAN STUDENT VISA after june 21st 2010

hey guys i have applied for visa under spp on 8th june....my medicals were done in advance and submitted with the file...i done my medicals way back on 12th may...still i have not received any response from CHC...its getting on my nerves guys..,what are your opinions...do CHC take this much time in giving visa during there busiest months of working (march - july)...

to apply under general you need to just change the cover sheet of your file...if you have applied under SPP you must have submitted your SPP checklist document with your file..you need to replace that document with the general checklist document...which you can download from here ...vfs-canada.co.in/Study%20Permit%20Checklist-General%20March%202010.pdf....you need to follow all the guidelines in that checklist and provide all the documents along with our file they are asking for and ya the documentation process is more than SPP in general it also takes more time than SPP...well this was a basic crude information..hope it would have helped you out to some extent...

Letter of acceptance from a Canadian educational institution showing planned start and end date of program and any conditions upon acceptance into program
Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476)
For Quebec-bound students only - Copy of Certificat d'acceptation du Québec-CAQ
Items in bold print below are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
SET II
IELTS test results taken within last 24 months with overall band not less than 6.0
Copy of your most recent diploma/ leaving certificate, and most recent mark sheets
Other educational certificates/diplomas/degrees (including mark sheets)
SET III
Copy of all receipts for payment provided by the Canadian educational institution (pre-payment of first term is recommended)
Copy of an Educational Loan from an Indian Chartered Bank equivalent to at least 80% of tuition +living + travel expenses for one academic year (normally, first year's tuition unless already paid, plus $8000). See information on the next page for the list of acceptable banks.
Form 16 for salaried employees or income tax return document
Bank record showing transaction history for: current month, as well as bank record from 6 months ago, and from 1 year ago for the same bank account
DO NOT PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS UNLESS REQUESTED TO DO SO BY A VISA OFFICER. Example of documents not to be submitted with study permit applications include: fixed deposits, property documents, documents from chartered accountants, jewellery assessments, life insurance policies
This are the only list of documents you need to submit unless asked for...

I copy pasted this checklist from the VFS website itself...well i think they can ask for the additional documents as and when required by the visa officer...the checklist lists only this much docs..

you must look for the local canada visa office in your country that will give you a detailed list of documentsprashjcha said:
