As the title states. How stringent are the border agents regarding documentation? (i.e., are photocopies enough?)
I am a US citizen living in Canada as a Permanent Resident. My fully vaccinated parents in the US (whom I haven't seen in 18 months) would like to come visit me and my family and stay for a few weeks. My understanding is that this sort of travel is allowed assuming they have the correct documentation, and more importantly they don't have to quarantine!
The documentation they need:

- Evidence of my status (i.e., copy of PR papers)
- Evidence of our relationship (i.e., birth certificate)
- Plan to stay for at least 15 days (they'll stay in my house).
