I recently sent my passport for TRV stamping to CPP Ottawa. Instead of using express post (as indicated on their website) as my return envelope I used priority mail. I know that the CIC website clearly says they will return your passport through regular mail, if you don't send them express post. But technically speaking, Priority Mail is still Canada post.
The only reason I had to do this was because I am flying out of Canada on 28th December, and I need my passport ASAP. I have already rescheduled my flights once at the airport. I do not want to reschedule again. Otherwise I would not take chances, and gladly save $ on shipping with a tradeoff of 1 more day of waiting.
I have been trying to search for information on this topic on the forum, and found few different opinions. I am starting this post to get direct replies from people who have used priority mail as return envelope within Canada. I apologies in advance if this is a duplicate thread.
