I am a March 2012 CEC applicant from outside Canada. Processing on my application started in September 2012. I completed my medical in November 2012 (it was acknowledged in the system as completed in January 2013). Status changed to "Decision made" in March 2013.
I then received an email mid-May 2013 saying that my application was "almost complete" and I was requested to pay the RPRF fee, send an email scan of my passport (because I am from a visa-exempt country) and confirm a few details (whether I had gotten married, eye colour etc). After paying the fee immediately and sending confirmation via email along with the other requested details, I have not received any confirmation of COPR or rejection of the application. They have acknowledged that they have received the documents. It has been over 2 months since I paid the fee (480 days since I filed my application) and I am still waiting for any kind of response/next step.
My understanding was that things moved fairly quickly after they tell you your application is "almost complete" and you pay the RPRF fee. I have seen that some people have also experienced their documents getting lost in the post and I know that the timing can be quite delicate as the COPR will have an expiry date attached to it (and our medicals expire after Nov 2013).
Can anyone else please advise how long it took them to finally receive their COPR after completing all of the other required stages of a CEC application and paying the RPRF???
Just trying to get an idea of how long I could possibly be waiting as it is hard to tell whether it could be another week, 2 months, or 6 months...
Thanks!
Steven
