Hello,

We have sent in our spousal application, got an approval in December and recieved a letter in December as well. We assumed that the embassy had our application and sent new passport information to the embassy with our Client ID number back in January not realizing that there would be ANOTHER letter from the embassy with a different ID number. We didn't recieve that until March 24th. It was also the first day that we were suddenly able to see something on e-cas and it states that they have begun processing on that day. It doesn't say anything about recieving our application on a specific date.

Seeing how we need to report any new info and we are not sure if they have or have not recieved our letter back in January (could it be lost somewhere?) shoud we resend the information again? We don't want to bother but we are questioning whether they recieved it or not and resending info may really annoy them.

What do u think???

Thanks for your help in advance!

It won't hurt to re-send it, with the file number and an explanation that you sent it before, but aren't sure if it will have been matched up with the file because that was before the visa office began processing and you didn't have the file number at that time.

Alternatively, you could order your CAIPS notes to see if they matched it up correctly.

maybe u should call them and ask, will be faster.

you can also send an email to the visa office to ask that they confirm receipt of that package/letter/documents...

all visa offices have a general email for file inquiries for example Buffalo: buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca; for any other office replace the city but still use -im-enquiry@intrenational.gc.ca! make sure you make the submject of your email your B file number and the sponsored spouse's name - include their birthday in the message.
