Today at 8.33 AM I received an email update with a request for my passport to be submitted within 30 days. I am assuming this is a confirmation.

You are in safe time frame now..
I am waiting for my Visa and have 45 days as my notice period..worried on what to do.
I am into manufacturing sector and my boss called me an hr back to ask me when I am planning to put down papers ???
so that they can start searching fr a replacement and the new guy will have time to get trained by me.

Oh goosh ! i m stuck..just filed visa and have to decide on my notice period by 04th July..

I will have to give up some of my Privileged Leaves since my classes begin on 24th August and I have a 60 day notice period.
If you can curry favour with your manager, put in a conditional resignation. I am sure it will work out fine with your visa.

Yes.. I did talk to my boss, she is an American and do understand the value of higher study in a foreign land. But my HR manager in India is very fizzy.. she want me to decide so that they can search for a replacement.
I am carrying my unconditional resignation in my bag today..looking at her mood, i ll put down the Unconditional letter to her.

I guess i too can work out with my PLs.. i have 30 of them+ SL and CLs..
