Any Re-issue of Indian Passport Experiences through BLS/Vancouver

Hello Everyone,

My passport is expiring in April 2014. My PR file is under process and also I need renew my Work permit (current work permit valid until April 2014)
I was wondering if CGI Vancouver is quick in re-issuing the passports? I applied on December 27th 2013 and still waiting application status shows Processing at Consulate General
I saw online BLS says it takes 4 to 6 weeks for re-issue.

Anyone with recent experience, please share your timeline and experience.

I renewed mine in September and took about 6 weeks so, you should hear something by second week of Feb. Good luck!

My experience with BLS has not been very pleasant. Especially when they start bugging you with stories of why they are not accepting Xpresspost as prepaid envelopes. BLS representatives make stories of how people couldn't travel to their countries because they could not get their passports in time. I said I am not going anywhere so please send my Xpresspost, lol, so I guess they decided to teach me a lesson. It has been over a month and I still have not received my passport. My Jurisdiction is Toronto.
