I've heard that LMO's can take 12-14 wks, not sure how much it differs by province. Try a search on Forum (white box, top right corner of the main forum page) and on Google. Be sure your employer advertised their vacancy adequately (minimum of 14 days in the three months prior to requesting LMO). I suspect your consultant requested your bank statement as supporting documentation to prove you have ties to your home country. Make sure you give your consultant EVERYTHING you can to establish your ties (property ownership, family, previous employment, travel history, etc). In applying for a temporary work permit, one of the biggest hurdles is to prove to the VO you will return to your home country before the expiry of your visa.
Check out this thread, you might find some good information here. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/processing-times-for-lmo-t93627.0.html

hai dear,
hrsdc in canada to process your lmo application they need only the job offered to you is genuine and no one canadian or canadian permanent residence not available for that position. rather than bank balance,so beware of your consultant and no need to produce any bank statement.and you ask your consultant the application file number.then you get reply from him no file number yet.

Lotusfalls, good thought. I 'assumed' the consultant was known to nspunia. Wondered if it was actually a Work Permit (not an LMO) he was applying for, in which case he will have to prove solid ties and reasons to return home.
I guess the question for nspunia is - are you questioning the consultant's or job offer's authenticity?
