Hello everyone,
I applied for my Canada study permit with my date of birth listed as 01-01, but my actual date of birth on my birth certificate is 11-11. After submitting my application, I tried to correct this discrepancy. However, due to the ongoing war, my country has currently paused changes to official documents, and even passport renewals are sometimes suspended.
I also have an official letter from my country's embassy stating that changes to documents are currently paused and cannot be processed.
Given this situation, could this be considered misrepresentation? I genuinely want to correct it, but it's beyond my control. Has anyone faced a similar issue, and what would be the best way to handle this with IRCC?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
