Hey guys!
We applied March 2010. So we are between the 8 and 9 months mark now and awaiting to hear news.
I called the call centre today to check up on an ecas statement, which thanked us for sending "requested" documents. We send updates proactively, so I called to check to make sure I hadnt missed any requests.

The call centre lady was nice and confirmed that they just inputted the received info, and I hadnt missed anything. She asked about my spouse's TRV status, which I confirmed was good for another year.
Then she said "as far as I can see all looks ok".

Just wondering if anyone from our time bracket has heard anything re: medicals or AIP yet?

Getting down to the time crunch! nervous!!!!
:-X

Hi there,
if You've been following this forum or the CIC website, you may have seen that they are working on applications received by February the 9th, which means that they are not quite yet on applications from March 2010, but you are reaaally close, let me tell'ya! I am pretty sure that in a couple of weeks you will hear something good!

Now if I may ask you: What documents were you requested? (you don't have to answer if you think it's too personal!) :).

PS: Same-sex relationship here as well! :)

hey!
They didnt request any documents at all. We had pre-emptively added updates to our file since our marriage, and some pretty important ones such as co-insurance, life insurance, my school registration, renewed lease together, life since marriage...etc. Just things that if I were a VO, I would want updates on after 9 months of having the app sit in a pile.
So the ecas was updated saying "thank you for providing the requested information." But really there wasn't anything requested - it was just reflecting our documents submission on our own.

How are things with you are your partner? any news?
M

It's been good, a bit stressful since I don't have much things to do. But I wouldn't change the fact that I am with him here, it's made/making us stronger as a couple and at the end of the day we know why we're together and putting ourself through this Process. :)

One more question if I may, when you sent those "informations" how did you set up the envelope? What did you write(ID number? the reason why you're sending them??)
I am contemplating sending some additional documents, pretty similar to yours. We have just gotten more pictures from our wedding(we hired a photographer), and some others documents that could be useful to proof our relationship even more.

I applied in MAY 2010. In august I was able to check e-CAS which says our Application was received and started being processed on August 4th.
Thank you, I am hoping for the best for you/us !
