I want to join a graduate program in 'Information Studies' offered by a Canadian University. I would like to know:

>> This course requires that, "At least 25% of courses must be completed in French". Right now, I don't even know a word in French. I guess I have to learn french. But, do you think it's feasible? Does any one have similar experience/idea?

>> "Students should have a passive knowledge (ability to understand the spoken and written word) of French. Proof of knowledge of the French is required. " What certification do I need to have ?

I assume you applied to a university in Quebec. If you don't already know French, then I think it would be a very bad idea to enrol in a program where 25% of the courses will be in French. They will expect you to be pretty much fluent. If you don't already know French, I don't think this is a feasible plan.

You should apply to an English university.
