hi! I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience or advice for me, I am starting to feel desperate now...
I want to move to canada as soon as possible, I have a bf there since a bit more than one year... we considered marriage and sponsorship, but that takes a lot of time, and we also need to save money to prepare a decent ceremony or bring my family to attend... in the end, it will be [ossible to marry later, but that means i will be able to move there in maybe 2 years, and we are suffering al ot being apart...
so I considered recently applying for a job there and go as a temporary worker, so i could move sooner, and then having the chance to marry my bf calmly and with time to plan things. - my bf can't move here because of his present situation (it would be negative for us if he would be the one moving for several reasons), so that possibility is rulled out.
if anyone can give me some advice I thank you with all my heart:
my profile is:
- I am a student, I am going to graduate in 3 months on fashion technology
- my work experience is two internships in europe, 6 months each (in different countries)
- I also have 6 months part time experience in catewring/working in the cafe/bar at my college
I want to apply for jobs in montreal, but since I am a foreigner and will be a freshly graduate student, I do not have a lot of experience for the employer to prove to the gov. of canada that they need me instead of a canadian because of my assets - so my only hope is a shortage in fashion graduates (not design but merchandise and retail oriented) I guess?
1) do I have any chance that canadian employers will consider hiring me in these circumstances?
2) can a person like me try to find a job in lower skilled positions (even kitchen helper or cleaning) as a foreigner? I don't mind starting like that to have a chance to go there, I just don't know if you still need experience to try these jobs, or how to do it.
3) do you know of any websites that offer help or jobs for foreigners? as I referred, if I couldn't work in fashion for now I wouldn't mind starting with other odd jobs.
pls if anyone has any experience, advice or help, please let me know, trust me i already read 100000 times all the official websites of immigration, and this are the porblems I am facing afetr seeing what are my possibilities..
thank you all!
