Hi,

Does anyone know if there's any possibility that a visa officer will call a TRV applicant during processing of the application? such as for any questions/clarification?

My mother will apply for an online TRV application and then will go on a flight out of her country so she'll be away for a few days.. Will this be a problem at all? :-[

They can call. The chance is slim but it does exist.

Depending on the nature of the call anything can happen from being a redundant check to needed confirmation. Yes, refusal due to not answering is a possibility. Usually if the call is important they will make at least two attempts in different days.
