good to know that you are studying at lakehead. I will be applying for M.Sc in comp Science. Dont know if there is time, but will give a try. How are the univ and the program? How is thunderbay? which program are you into?
I hold a visa for a PG course in college but if I get an offer, I would like to request CHC for a change. Hope it doesnt have any negative impact.
Thanks for the reply and really happy to note that the univ and the city are good. Heard that not many Indians are there in that univ and city. Am from Bangalore, India. Applying for Jan 14 intake. I currently have a one year visa since I applied for a college. It is college to univ. If I get the offer, will ask the CHC directly if I am allowed to change from college to univ becoz I dont want to get into probs at the POE. Though the name of the institution is not mentioned in the visa, the duration of the visa tells about it. If the CHC agrees, I dont think POE officer will create probs.krishnat said:

but i think it is not a big issue you can extend your study permit once you come here or you can contact cic delhi

I am applying for M.Sc comp science. I heard that there are only a few Indians over there. Is that a disadvantage? We will become minority and hope will not be sidelined. which department are you into? generally how long they take to make a decision on an application?krishnat said:

its not problem there 15 Indian's in CS
for jan 2014 it is very tough to get admission unless you have good profile as far as i know they giving admission to only the strong candidate
for jan 14 because they take less no of ppl for jan more in fall

let me wait and see ! there should be an availability at the first place, I believe the last date to apply for Jan intake is sep 30th. I have just taken a chance....Then, let me see if they grant or deny......krishnat said:
