Hi everyone,

My work permit expires on May 30, 2013 so I need to to apply for an extension. I just have a concern regarding the updated contract. In the DURATION OF CONTRACT section, I am asked the specify the anticipated start date. I am not sure what date to write. I started working on September 1, 2011 and my first contract states that it's for 2 years, which means that I will have completed the 2-year duration of employment by September 1, 2013. However, my work permit expires on May 30, 2013.

What date should I write on the anticipated start date (updated contract)? Should I based it on my work permit expiry date (May 30, 2013) or the completion of my first contract (September 1, 2013)? Thanks a lot.

Pre-Assessed..
Go with May 30th since that's the date you're legally allowed to work up to.
