You mean you want to ask for 3 months right? It's probably not a good idea considering it is a long time, it could likely lead to a refusal. Try asking for a few weeks and odds are they're going to grant you a 6 month stay anyway.

Hey Mikey..
Firstly I want to thank you, for the continuous support you render to ppl here, Good Job pal. I use to visit this site but as freebie but just registered it as finally the time has come I plan to apply for TRV.

Just suggestion needed..I have my wife as intl student there,
Now that I am applying, I have the following documents.

Emp letter, leave sanction letter, no objection letter, salary slips, Income tax returns, Aproxx 11,000 CAD in my bank as liquid funds, 3 Property on my name, valuation report of the property price, marriage certificate, wedding pics, return ticket, Tour booked in Canada along with confirmed hotel reservations and tickets.

From my wife, Student enrollment letter, PP copy, Visa copy, Invitation, Bank statements, Mobile bill, Rent agreement, permission from landlord to let me live with her.
Lastly a covering letter, stating my purpose of visit, my job profile, my salary, my tour details and assurance that I will get back (reasons explained).

Any thing else I should provide along with the above, what is your call on my file, Yes or No.
PS: I m planning for 21 days visit, that is coz she has her winter break plus Christmas and New year.,

I think you're providing excellent documents. Your Purpose of Visit letter should describe what you and your wife plan to do every single day you're in Canada. Provide the times/dates, locations, of where you will go and what you will do. Are the $11K funds 100% your own? Or did someone help you with that money?

You should also show birth certificates or household registry of your family in your home country to show that you have sufficient family ties back home.

Yes, totally owned by me, no third party deposits, its actually accumulated over period of time, I have rental income monthly (reflecting in my Bank statement) that has made total standing as of now 11k.

Should I put my parents passport copies as they have same home address as I have? cz in the cover letter under assurance that I will return back, I am mentioning that, I have old parents, who stays with me, my parents needs regular Dr check up and I have the responsibility to do so, My father owns property and he being senior citizen and health conditions, I take care of the properties like maintenance, leasing, utility bills payments etc

Any more suggestion you can say for proving family ties ??
