Hello fiends,
What approx. amounts of funds in Canadian dollars are needed to show in the principle applicant's bank account to apply for the visit visa?

I want to visit my sister this Christmas from December 15 to December 31 2016. I am a student in Dubai. I am doing Masters from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. My examinations are in January next year may be from Jan 9- 16.

I will definitely return to Dubai before my exams.

I am from Pakistan.

Please reply soon,
Thanks.

Thank you.
I have $15000 in my account in my home country I can provide a bank certificate stating the amount but I can't provide the bank statement as I haven't operated my account since one year but my account is one year old. So is it OK to include simply a letter from issuing bank stating the amount?

I have a account in Dubai as well but I don't have much funds in it as I am not working in Dubai so should I arrange the funds in this account as well?

My sister will provide me all the documents including the Financial documents from my brother in law who is working but I want to show funds in my accounts but I will also show the financial support from my brother in law as a supporting document.

Please reply soon....

Usually a bank statement is preferred. Bank accounts can be left unattended for years, statements usually are available on request, or via internet banking. You will have to explain what kind of bank can't do this. If you cannot produce a statement easily it could raise questions on the availability of the resources.

This is preferred.

Third parties are not important. You are the one who has to show financial stability.

Yes that;s what I was thinking to present funds in my account and show my brother in law as a side support. I want to apply in Dec this year. I will also show my home country's bank account but As I am in Dubai so I was thinking to show more funds in my Dubai's bank account. I don't have much funds in my Dubai's account there are approx AED 5000 that's it so can I borrow funds from my uncle?

Are $10000 enough to show in terms of UAE dihirms?

But with regards to the bank statement I will take a one from my bank but It will also show a big transaction from my Uncle so would there be any issue that the the visa officer may think that I especially borrowed these funds for the purpose of my visit.
Please reply soon,
Thanks.

Borrowed money is not good proof. Actually, a big transfer or deposit in your account will look suspicious, like you are just trying to show that you have more money than you actually have. It's a risky move, I would advise against it.

thanks.

Actually In have a bank account in Pakistan with Approx $15000. I haven't operated this account since one year but I will take a letter from my bank and a bank statement that will exactly indicate that how old my account is. I also have some fix deposits ( saving certificates ) with my parents in Pakistan with approx 89 lacs Pak rupees which can be cashable any time.

On the other hand I was thinking to show $6000 in my account in Dubai by borrowing approx 15000 Dir hims from my uncle in USA.

Is it OK?

No it's not ok. Don't borrow money. If you are only visiting Canada for 2 weeks, the money you have now is enough. You just have to prove that you have access to that money.

How can I show that I have access to my Bank account in Pakistan?

But I can simply provide a Letter and a bank statement stating the amount that's it.

I will just show a bank certificate from my bank in Dubai showing the amount and the date of opening my account.

secondly I also have an another account in Pakistan which is one year old so I will provide its bank statement plus a certificate from the bank stating the amount.

Is it enough?

In my opinion yes, it should be enough funds.

Don't forget to include other proof as strong ties to your country:

-apartment lease or house ownership papers
- Do you work? If yes, a letter from your employer stating that he is granting you this time off, and what date you will return to work
-school schedule, like you mentioned earlier
-Other family members in Pakistan
-Any other thing that you can think of that will prove to the Visa Officer that you will return home after your visit.

thanks. I am a student in Dubai. I am doing masters in applied finance from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. My course will end in Jan 2018. I have cleared 3 papers out of 12. I am presently enrolled in two more courses and my exams for these two courses are in first week of Jan 2017. I decided to visit my sister from Dec 15 to 31, 2016 then return to Dubai to attend my exams. I will provide a letter from my University ( NOC) with the enrollment proof of my present two courses.

Is this enough to show strong evidence for leaving Canada after 2 weeks. I am not working in Dubai.

My parents are in Pakistan.
