I'm a U.S. citizen who wants to live in the U.S. and work full-time for a Canadian company (remotely).

Do I need a work permit?

If not, do I need a special visa if they want to fly me in every once in a while (for short stays, say, 3 days)?

Also, will the company need to do anything (apply permit, etc)?

1. No you don't need a work permit.
2. If they fly you into Canada to work, then you will need either a work permit or you maybe eligible for a business visa.

Thanks for the reply.

I was just reading up on business visas. If 100% of my income is from a Canadian company, I think I would be disqualified from getting one.
