American sponsorship- Inland or Outland?

Hi, I'm trying to get some clarification on which class I need to apply for with my spouse. He's Canadian and I'm American, but I'm not able to get a study or work visa before sponsorship. Am I able to apply for inland sponsorship without the visa? I want to be able to live in Canada during the sponsorship process and work.

If you have a US passport, you can travel to Canada as a visitor for up to six months and apply for inland sponsorship while you're there with visitor status. You can get an OWP that way (takes 4-5 months from the time you apply, sometimes sooner sometimes longer), with the PR sponsorship. That's the only way to live in Canada and work while being sponsored. Good luck!
