I'm in the process of helping my sister apply for schools in calgary. I will be moving to calgary in january on a family class...our mother recently passed so I want her to apply there to be closer to me until she finishes school. There are some schools that she can transfer her US financial aid..my question is how much does she have to have in her bank account and am I able to state that I will be responsible for her finances while she is in school? What are the steps after she sends in her applications?

ur asking about study permit application right? I am not sure how it works for american citizens but there is a general guideline for financial proof for study permit see the below link
