I am in a sticky situation, I recently just graduated and applied for my PGWP in late may, I got a job offer around the same time and the HR person has notified my that my co-op work permit can not be used before my PGWP is approved. My study permit expires in late July and it was issued in 2013 but I asked for a reprint after June, 1st, 2014 and that's when they stopped issuing off campus work permit. However, as my study permit was applied before the new rule came, it does not indicate that I can work off campus. I'm wondering if it is worthy to amend my study permit so I can start working before my PGWP came? Even though that would take 1 month but that is much better than 3 month. Has anyone has similar situations? Should I include a copy of my job offer since my study permit is expiring soon and explain the situation to CIC?
