I moved to vancouver last november and work as a software engineer. Ask me anything..

Don't ask me stuff you can google, like how to do this and that.. ask my about stuff that is hard to find online

Was it easy to find a job as a software engineer in Vancouver? For a software engineer (I am a react and python developer), is Vancouver a better market or Toronto?

It was easy to find a job. But i have US experience. Regardless, you will find a job probably within 2 weeks.

I don't know about market but if you have a job doesn't matter. There is a lot to do in Vancouver and the weather is nice. I think Vancouver should be picked over Toronto and i am happy i made the choice

good thread @thtthings However, it would be awesome if we could keep it down to objective (for the most part) responses. This Toronto v Vancouver v Montreal question is so subjective, it's not even funny anymore.

P.S: I know it's personal choice and I know what the other dude asked, but you know what I mean.

Everything i will say here is my opinion. It's not funny, it is very important. You want to live in good weather, close to skiing resorts, short flight to California? beaches? etc?

Vancouver is the place.

This is better. However, short flight to California? ROFL.
Yeah, its important to me or people who make enough money and want to go to LA/San francisco or disney

Live in vancouver only if you make good money, it is not for people who will end up working at tim hortons
