I just want to make sure I have understood the rules regarding LMIA exemptions.
I currently work fulltime under the Young Professionals Visa for my employer (skill level B) and it's been one year and a half in total,
the first six months with an open work permit under IEC Work and Travel and my current work permit expires 21st November 2020.
Do we need to apply for a LMIA, or are we exempt?
My boss says that only I have to apply for a work permit......
Quite confusing, because the LMIA-website says:
"You are exempt, if:
you have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least 1 year (or an equal amount of part-time work)".
Any help is much appreciated
