Hi so, a few months ago i stopped working at a particular place. I had worked 3 days of a particular week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and then the FOLLOWING week i worked a tuesday for 3 hours and after that i quit. So tuesday was my last day.

We usually get paid the next friday of every week worked, but instead of being paid a week after for the first week worked, they waited and it LOOKS like I was paid for the 2 weeks. The Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and for the tuesday of the week that followed. It was a direct deposit, so i got no pay stub and I left on bad terms so I doubt they would answer my calls. So if we combine every hours of pay that they owe me for the 2 weeks it would go over 20 hours which usually would be no problem since the CIC limit is weekly instead of biweekly

However recently I have been wondering : Is it possible they could lie on the pay stub and change the time sheet and make it look like went over the limit out of spite ? As in make it look like the hours paid were a weekly total instead of a biweekly one ? Like I said we left on bad terms and they were aware of the limit. It's been on my mind for a while and I'm not sure how I could defend myself if something like that happened assuming I would even be given an opportunity to do so by CIC.

The fact that they waited 2 weeks to put all my shifts in one deposit seems to be a strong indication that it was indeed for 2 weeks with no ill intent on their part since if i wasn't quitting, i would have gotten paid for the tuesday only on the same day i received the check for the 2 weeks when I DID quit. Not sure if that makes any sense.

Am I just being paranoid here ? Is there anything to worry about ?

Deferentially over thinking it. IRCC doesn't even look into your work hours like that & doubt they would care about a few hours they know real world is not perfect, they are looking for abuse of the system.
