Am I eligible to apply for EE through CEC ?? Please help...

Hello Guys,

I am planning to apply for PR through CEC,I do have one year of exp under NOC B, a good language score and have a canadian post grad degree as well, but my situation is my work permit has already expired and my employer has applied an LMIA (applied on Aug 2014). Since I do not have a valid WP I am not able to work right now. But my employer insisted me that I can get back to work when my LMIA is approved. Is this considered as having a job offer ?

Am I eligible to apply ????

1) If you meet the requirements, you can apply with or without an LMIA-confirmed job offer.
2) If your employer succeeds in obtaining an LMIA, you get a new work permit, AND your employer is willing to provide you with a written offer of PERMANENT full-time employment if you obtain permanent residence status, then you will gain 600 pts in the express entry system. This is a good thing.
3) My concern is, when did your work permit expire? How long have you been in the country without authorization? You can only apply to restore status within 90 days of the expiry of your old work permit...

Ok, but wow, your employer applied for the LMIA in August? That's a long time, are you sure it's in process? Has your employer checked on the application?
