Alternatives to SWAP program

Hi there,

I am a 3rd year mechanical engineering student in California looking to work in Canada for a couple months this summer.
The SWAP.ca program offers that, but I was wondering how I could apply for an Open Employment Authorization on my own without
this service, thanks for any help at all.

is another option. You can't apply directly - it has to be through one of the WHP programs to get an open work permit.

thanks for the quick response, i guess i'll be looking into that then, one last question, would those be the only two options for going from states -> canada? thanks
