I have recently moved to Canada as a PR while maintaining my H1b status in the US. I plan to continue to maintain my H1b status there. I read online that I can surrender my US driver's license here in CAN to obtain a Canadian one with no tests to be given. I would like to ask the people who plan to maintain their H1 status while residing in CAN as PR, did you surrender your US driver's license? How do you rent/drive a car in the US during your trips? Secondly, if I plan to move back to the US in the later years, do we have to apply for a US driver's license again?
